Test Results

We received this letter from the ACT with our test results showing that our high school students who took the test were all 100% ready for college.

This is a graph that compiles the data received from the TerraNova, Third Edition test.  We took each childs results, and averaged them.  It shows that our students all perform at or above grade level.  100% of eighth graders were college ready, 100% of the seventh graders scored two+ years above grade level.

Test Results

LOCAL ACADEMY REPORTS OUTSTANDING TEST RESULTS

Corpus Christi Academy in Simpsonville, KY recently tabulated 2012 standardized test results for its elementary students and reported the outstanding achievement scores of its students.

Teachers and administration were thrilled with the results, especially since the TerraNova Third Edition was selected for its challenging level of difficulty to match the rigorous traditional curriculum of the school.

“We administer the test for 3 reasons: 1) to measure progress of our students individually, 2) to assess our strengths and weaknesses as a school and 3) to assess our students’ performance and achievement on a national basis,” explained Mrs. Phyllis Sower, the Principal of the Academy. “The test served these purposes and gave us a huge affirmation, pat on the back, if you will, of the success of our educational program.”

Test results were impressive: 100% of eighth graders scored at the twelfth grade level or above, 100% of seventh graders averaged two grades above their current grade level. All students scored at or above grade level compared to students across the country. “Basically, this means that every one of our eighth graders and most seventh graders are ready to go from elementary school to college. In addition, at the high school level, ACT provided a report showing our high school students are 100% ready for college.” In fact, 100% of Corpus Christi Academy students have gone to college and most have completed college or are presently enrolled.

TerraNova, Third Edition, is the most respected, valid, and innovative national achievement test on the market. TerraNova Common Core is an authentic measure of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). The test is rigorous and requires students to show, demonstrate, and produce their work. Students must receive partial credit for partial understanding of a standard, which is beyond the ability of a multiple-choice test.

Peace Poster Results

The fifth through eighth graders competed in the Lions Club Peace Poster contest.  Megan Zoeller, whose poster won on the local and district levels, has advanced ahead to the state level.  We should get the results of the state level by mid-January.  After the state level, a poster adcances to the international competition.  Congratulations to Megan and Good Luck!  And, congratulations to our 5th-8th participants, all of whom received Honorable Mention.
